The Business Analyst will act as key liaison between Design, Development, and Operations teams and will be responsible for creation and maintenance of the Agile backlog for a variety of development projects. Business Analysts are provided with feature and functional direction (Epics) and are then responsible for translating these Epics into User Stories, gathering requirements to inform development of the User Stories, and managing the User Acceptance Testing process to ensure the developed stories meet the needs of the user.


The ideal candidate:

  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Has a high attention to detail
  • Can communicate effectively across disciplines
  • Is knowledgeable about basic web application and database terminology
  • Is a self-starter and capable of self-managing their workload with minimal oversight

Preferred Skills:

  • Agile Scrum experience, JIRA, SQL (database query experience a big plus), MS Office Suite

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Write user stories and gather necessary requirements
  • Be available to developers as needed for clarification and collaboration
  • Attend and/or facilitate Agile meetings such as daily standups and refinement sessions
  • Review completed user stories for accuracy
  • Research, gather, and generate technical documentation and specifications, documenting in Confluence as needed
  • Perform qualitative assessment in production and create bugs where needed
  • Pull and analyze data to support business decision-making and user story creation


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Computer Science (preferred, but not required)
