As a DevOps Engineer at TractManager, you can expect to work with a high-performance technology team building and supporting cutting edge applications and online technology and translating what people want (our clients and their customers) into systems that work - exceptionally well. You'll make this happen by working with software engineers and quality assurance engineers to stand up and maintain a Continuous Delivery process. Be part of a collaborative team who is always on the hunt for ways to improve.

In this position:

You'll get the feel of a start-up but with solid corporate support. You will assist software engineering and infrastructure teams with automated testing, automated deployments, continuous monitoring, and other important aspects of Continuous Delivery. Be a change agent! Identify, track and resolve software defects by performing root cause analysis and able to communicate effectively and adapt to changing requirements and outlines corrective action for given problems. Apply a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities in developing solutions to achieve goals.

  • Team communication: Jira/Confluence/Slack/Zeplin
  • Development Infrastructure: GitHub/AWS/Kubernetes/Jenkins
  • Development: .NET/C#/SQL/ASP.NET Core/Node.js/GraphQL
  • APIs: GraphQL/OpenAPI (Swagger)
  • Frontend: React//Bootstrap

Education & Experience:

  • Previous experience as a DevOps engineer
  • Strong knowledge of AWS, specifically managing
    • EC2 instances
    • VPCs
    • Load balancers
    • S3
    • RDS
  • Experience with one other major cloud provider (e.g., Azure or GCP)
  • Experience working in a Continuous Delivery shop
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with a well-known CI server (Jenkins preferred)

Licenses & Certifications Desired

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (preferred, but not required)
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (preferred, but not required)

Responsibilities & Essential Functions

  • This position will be responsible for the management of CI/CD processes and tooling
  • Respond to internal/client issues on a priority basis
  • Provide reports to management on the status of all environments and processes
  • Maintain and report on KPIs of the environments, build processes, and deployment pipelines
  • Other duties as assigned

  • This position is full time
  • The position location is in the Dallas, TX office location. Working from home periodically is permitted, but most of the time should be spent in the office working with the team.
