Position Purpose:

The programmer analyst position sits within the Data Center of Excellence and serves the purpose of enabling analytics that support sales of technology and services across the TractManager family.  This position is essential in that this individual has the ability to unify multiple data repositories and methodologies into a common platform to develop enterprise level reporting, analysis and dashboarding.



The Programmer Analyst will be responsible for supporting operations and sales for both internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will be part of the data center of excellence team responsible for reporting development to include gathering business requirements, analysis, design, development, testing and support. The candidate will also work collaboratively within the organization to deliver advanced analytics solutions to clients that enhance operational efficiency, enable transparency and proactively identify sales opportunities. Overall, the candidate is responsible for developing and maintaining applications and databases that support scalable reporting.



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
  • One year of consulting experience
  • 3+ year business analyst and 3+ year programming
  • SQL, SSRS, analyzing information, software design and development fundamentals, requirements and testing
  • Dashboarding experience with Qlik, Tableau, Sisense or similar


Competencies/Work Style:


  • Good understanding and working knowledge of relational databases (e.g. SQL Server)
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, ASP and .Net, Perl, PHP
  • Data load & ETL skills
  • Experience with object orientated programming
  • Proficient with Agile and iterative project management concepts, best practices and tools
  • Demonstrated experience in meeting facilitation and collaboration
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Works with a sense of urgency and meets established deadlines
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and organize workload without direction


Responsibilities & Essential Functions

  • Create reporting applications and enhancements using application development tools and database systems (e.g. SQL Server) to allow for ease of data entry, improved communications, and graphical depiction of platform measurements
  • Manage enhancements to existing processes by gathering detailed requirements and coordinating implementation and support of relevant systems
  • Gather and analyze functional requirements to create a shared understanding with internal and external shareholders
  • Collaborate with product owner, team and other stakeholders to decompose stories into features
  • Clearly articulate feature requirements through an agile development process
  • Other duties as assigned


Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, etc.
  • This position does require the ability to travel up to 25%
  • While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • This job operates in an office setting and the position is full time position location is either in the Dallas, TX or Chattanooga, TN office locations; or remote employment arrangement will be considered if candidate has extensive experience being successful in remote work
